RAMADAN – PHYSICAL AND ONLINE CLASS TIMINGS

Assalamu Alaykum dear parents,

I pray you are all in the best of health and Imaan InshaAllah.

Ramadan Kareem greetings to all of you in advance. Please note class timings for weekday classes (both Physical and Online classes) in Ramadan as follows. Weekend class time are unaffected.

22nd March to 31st March: (No change of timings)

Class timings will remain the same for the first week of Ramadan until 31st March. Students and teachers will break their fast at the Masjid and finish at their normal times. This is because iftar time during this period starts around 6.30pm. If your child attends during this time please ensure they bring in a packed iftar meal/snack. This is something we should all be getting used to as all iftar timings will coincide with class times from next year onwards. Please do get used to your child opening their fast in the Masjid so that they hear the Adhaan in the Masjid, pray in jamaat together, break their fast with their fellow Muslims, read out Duas and Azkaars together etc. As mentioned, from next year onwards all iftars will take take place in the masjid during school days.

1st April to 16th April (Easter holidays), 3pm first shift and 4.45pm second shift:

As it is the Easter holidays we will start all weekday classes early so all classes will start an hour and thirty minutes earlier. The normal 4.30pm class start will start at 3pm and finish and 4.45pm InshaAllah and the normal 6.15pm class start will start at 4.45pm and finish at 6.30pm InshaAllah.

17th April to 20th April (1st shift 4.30pm to 6pm, 2nd shift 6pm to 7.30pm):

Iftar is around 8.10pm and children return to school. Class times have therefore been reduced by 15 minutes. First shift starts at the normal time of 4.30pm but finishes at 6pm. Second shift starts at 6pm and finishes at 7.30pm InshaAllah.

We break up for Eid holidays around the 21st April InshaAllah (tbc).

Students who attend full time:

All full time students that normally attend weekdays from 4.30pm to 8pm should continue to attend full time at their normal start times during Ramadan except during the Easter holidays when classes will start at 3pm InshaAllah (eg. for full time Hifz students).
