Youth Madrasa seeks to enable students live their faith through developing and understanding the themes of worship, belief and self-reflection. We aim to equip our students with sound knowledge from authentic sources and develop a clear and balanced understanding of Islamic learning and its practical application and how it relates to contemporary life.
OUR APPROACH
Our ethos centres around the principles and values of Islamic teachings, morals and etiquettes based on the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This relates to our actions, morals, manners and how we deal with and respect people in addition to the environment around us.
THE YOUTH MADRASA SEEKS TO
- Inspire a sense of love for Allah (swt) and for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him); thereby encouraging pupils to develop a sense of God consciousness at all times
- Provide a high standard of teaching and religious education within a caring and stimulating environment.
- Encourage the moral, religious and spiritual development of every student
- Instil enthusiasm, self-confidence and respect for oneself and others
- Develop learning, reflective and social skills
- Encourage extra-curricular activities that links in with students holistic religious, moral and spiritual development

What is the curriculum?
Students will develop their understanding and application of Tajweed and will complete the memorisation of the last Juz.
Read the Qur’an for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection Sahih Bukhari
The aim is to provide a balanced understanding of Islamic knowledge that will serve as a sound basis for applying the faith. Study of Aqidah at Tahawiyah is systematically presented and students will be expected to develop a deep understanding and commit to memory the fundamental concepts.

Students will start the text Islah Ilm ul Haal, a renowned primer which outlines the absolute essentials of worship. Students will learn the terminology and rulings pertaining to prayer, taharah, good manners and other key points related to everyday life.

The Arabic language is the language of the Qur’an, the Prophet of Islam and the inhabitants of paradise but also the key to understanding Islamic sciences. The Arabic language module aims to familiarise students with the basic structures of Classical Arabic and to help the students in the comprehension of the language of the Qur’an. Emphasis is placed on reading and writing skills. Prior knowledge of the Arabic writing system is essential. The approach adopted in teaching is grammar based.

The completion of belief rest firmly with our love of the Blessed Messenger of Allah, peace and Blessings be upon Him.
This course has been designed as an introduction to the key events and themes in the life of Prophet. Understanding the seerah will enable our students to draw lessons from the major events in the Prophet’s life so that it can be discussed with practical lessons and implications in our lives in today’s context.

This course will introduce a collection of forty hadith that will cover the spirit of Islamic teachings. Students will be expected to memorise and develop an understanding of a comprehensive collection of ahadith.
The Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace, is reported to have said: “Whoever memorizes and preserves for my people forty hadith pertaining to their religion, with the aim of seeking the pleasure of God and the Hereafter, God will raise him on the Day of Judgment in the company of jurists and religious scholars.” ref
Students will be given supplications in accordance with the sunnah of the prophet, peace and Blessings be Upon Him to learn and apply in their daily lives. Basic etiquettes and morals will be taught through examples and stories of the sahabah and pious scholars and teachers.

When will the next course begin?
Our next enrolment will begin in September 2014. Late applications will not be accepted. Classes will be held at The Hazrat Sultan Bahu Trust, Monday to Friday from 4:30 to 8:00pm Students will have holidays in line with the Local Education Authority. Additional holidays will also be granted based around the Islamic Calendar.
Absences will be monitored and regular feedback will be given to parents on the progress of their child.
