SUMMER PROGRAMME FOR HAF CHILDREN, NON-HAF CHILDREN AND ONLINE CLASSES
SUMMER PROGRAMME FOR HAF CHILDREN, NON-HAF CHILDREN AND ONLINE CLASSES
Assalamu alaykum dear parents,
I pray you are all in good imaan and health inshAllah. Please find further information on our summer programme for all our children.
We are running a HAF programme from 22nd July to 15th August(10am to 2pm) but numbers are very limited to 50 children. We have had 70 applications already and are putting applications on a reserve list so that in case of absences we can accommodate those on the reserve list. We will try and oblige as many HAF children as possible. If your children are HAF eligible kindly let us know along with your HAF code which is normally sent to you via email by your school.
What is the HAF programme?
The HAF programme is a free programme for those children whose parents are on Universal credit and whose children are entitled to free meals on the basis of these benefits. We are allocated a number of places to accommodate these children. This year we have arranged indoor rock climbing, daily animal experiences, fresh hot halal food, healthy eating and nutrition awareness workshops. A coach trip to Dudley Zoo/Hatton Farm or Safari Park is also being organised. These are all free as part of the HAF programme. Please see the posters for the HAF programme for the animal displays and the food menu for this year.
If you are HAF eligible please message us so we can add your child on the list.
Children who are not part of the HAF programme:
We want to offer all our madrassa students a positive and enjoyable experience this summer where they continue their Qur’an learning and also enjoy activities. For all masjid students we are asking that every student attends a minimum of 4 hours so that we can teach for 2 hours followed by 2 hours of games/sports activities/animal handling experiences. No student will miss out.
All students should attend from 10am to 2pm. The first 2 hours will consist of teaching in the masjid and then from 12pm to 1.45pm children will be taken to the park for sports activities. We will also alternate sports activities with animal experiences so please be assured that even if your child is not on the HAF programme they will still not miss out on activities.
Our aim is make this summer the best for all our children so they have great memories and attachment to their madrassa inshAllah.
All the activities and extra timings offered to all students is at no extra costs.
Online classes:
Online classes will continue to run around the same time as physical classes. Online timings are 10.30am to 2pm (1st shift starts 10.30am to 12.15pm, 2nd shift is 12.15pm to 2pm).
Students who are on holiday:
For students on holiday we are happy to offer online classes if requested so students can continue with their learning. Just send us a request for online classes and we will respond inshAllah. Please note we cannot waive/cancel fees due to non-absence due to holidays this summer.
Weekend classes:
For those that normally attend weekends those classes will take place on Wednesdays and Thursdays during summer (10am to 2pm).
Please note that this weekends classes (20th/21st July) will not take place as they are scheduled for next Wednesday/Thursday.
Extra Qur’an support classes this summer:
We have already reached out to parents whose children we feel could benefit from extra support classes. We are happy to offer this support if we feel it is needed. If you feel your child needs extra support please send us a message. We are providing these classes at no extra cost.
