The Academy is an established institution, which is traditional, academic and innovative, nurturing and understanding, structured and industrious.
As an Academy we recognise the benefits of a traditional approach to teaching and aim to foster a love for the Qur’an with a focus on perfection and rigour. Pupils benefit from a positive and ordered environment in a traditional mosque setting. We recognise that children succeed when they feel confident, nurtured and that high quality attention is essential to happy and successful students.
We have achieved success and developed a strong reputation in a short space of time but we continuously seek to innovate in the best interests of our pupils. Information and communication technologies provide alternative learning opportunities but we do not lose sight of essential and timeless methods and skills in learning about the science and art of Quran’ic recitation.
The Academy recognises and values the necessity of highly qualified teachers to guide, advise, nurture and impart the correct knowledge to its students.
Our leading teachers are from Al-Azhar University, Egypt, one of the worlds’ oldest university. It reamins a beacon of Islamic scholarship and learning. Many of our teachers have Ijazah or authorisation in several methods of recitations.
Our teachers utilise a variety of techniques to engage students of all ages in an effective and friendly manner.
Our students are also given the opportunity to recite and memorize the entire Qur’an through an unbroken chain of transmission from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. Students who reach the required degree of mastery receive an authorization to transmit the Qur’an to others.
The Academy assesses all students upon entry in regards to their competencies in Arabic pronunciation and ability. Every student is allocated a teacher that is best suited to his or her needs and ability.
